Reading all about fatigue cracks in welded joints.

Its a scientific fact that all girls are fitter when the sun is out. I don't know how but every girl in town turns into a stunner when the sun is shining, well nearly everyone

Re: What are you doing today ??
I spent 3 hours this morning at work sorting out cock ups a senior person (a person that when you tell him anything his answers are always 'I know I know') in charge shouldn't of made. FFS I was only off for 2 days and one of those days he doesn't even work! Do you ever just think to yourself you should get paid more because you actually know more and tend to do a lot more than others? Well my bloody pay review is (should be) soon and I will be suggesting I get a nice little pay rise. If not anyone know of any jobs in manufacturing. I keen to learn, pretty direct strong leader and strong team player and also enjoy planning from a day to day or week to week basis!! Peed off isn't the word!

Hope things improve Rossgo and you either find something new or get the rise you deserve.

Thanks Blade just having a rant really! This place is doing my nut in! So many problems and the company just turn a blind eye to it all because they are saving a few quid. Hate the politics of this place now!!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Rant away mate we all need to blow of steam from time to time.
I know its extremely frustrating being let down by lazy colleagues who you know could do better, believe me I know myself.
If it helps I just try and think fook it, its above my pay grade to worry about this and its not my company. If the bosses want to employ muppets that's their problem. I just turn up do an honest and fair days work to the best of my ability. If I'm only productive for 8 hours because I spent the other 4 hours rectifiying other peoples mistakes, I still get paid the same so I try not to worry about it now. Maybe try the same and see if it helps. I'm sure your bosses will know who the real grafters are and who the muppets are.
Good luck for the pay rise too, hope you get it.

You do speak sense Blade totally agree mate! Just unreal how it can change to this! Hopefully they see that I do pull my weight and go beyound.
Thanks mate yes won't find out just yet but won't be happy if they give me a shoddy rise. Keep looking to get into Mars in Slough but it's almost impossible!
Thanks for the kind words and words of wisdom too [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Thanks for sharing...............
I'm arguing with the HSE. They've taken a client's machine for testing, won't let us test it and have now admitted they've modified it during testing, so we can't get our own evidence about the condition of the machine at the time of the accident

Perving curtailed today due to an expected Animal rights protest outside the department.
I don't think we have any animal testing in either of the two buildings being targeted.
Takes me back to my days at Lonza Biologics and HLS.

Get a stuffed toy rabbit anyway. From a distance they wont tell. Then start doing "experiments" to it in the window where they can all see.Norfolknchance wrote:Perving curtailed today due to an expected Animal rights protest outside the department.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I used to work at Lonza on the Bath Road. As it is pharmaceuticals it is probably even more difficult to get into than Mars but production may be worth a try. I used to work in R&D so unfortunately don't have any contacts in production. They were an ok employer but it was about 7 years ago, when I worked there.Rossgo wrote:You do speak sense Blade totally agree mate! Just unreal how it can change to this!
