Neither of them would have spent their own cash on the R1 from what they were saying.
I think the BMW may have had the forged wheels on it and it did have the semi active suspension but not a race exhaust..

The ten has a middle mode which switches between high and low depending how you ride it and I thought the sx might have been the same.Kwacky wrote:No. Low mode is about 105bhp and full fat is 140bhp.
I take it you prefer the full fat version.

I don't think the SX needs a middle mode but it makes sense on a sportsbike.
I've barely used the lower mode. I did when I first had it as the weather was poor. I'm sure I will switch it back to low when winter comes around.

I imagine it will be a god send in winter and hopefully make the tyres last longer on the cold boring communte at that time of year.

I've been mainly using the middle mode on the ten. Had a few blasts in full power mode but it also effects the suspension setting so just playing a round and getting a feel for this plus teasing myself back in after a good 5 month lay off.

No Duke its all automated. It looks at various parameters and makes adjustments based on certain values there is no manual adjustment or intervention via the dash or with a screw driver. You basically get what Mr Ohlins and Mr Kawasaki think is best.

Don't blame you.
If you get bored again, how about finding another café around that way for meets? I'm not found of the carpark or the food at Quatt.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I realise its a fair distance from than one but there is a good cafe on the A518 between Weston and Uttoxeter with plenty of flat parking and a decent breakfast too. Good roads round there too. Maybe I need to arrange a Sunday morning ride out that way next month.Kwacky wrote:Don't blame you.

Was in my way to London to do a survey and the weather was so good stopped at the services near Frankie and asked him if he was busy "no" was the reply so we had a lovely blast out down to Loomies for lunch then Winchester way to Newbury, then I turned left and went through hungerford -Marlborough-Chippenham - home.
Brilliant ride and good company , cheers frankie.
I'll do the survey next week

Spanked it over to Stow for some cake.
Had a play with a Tiger on the way back
Swapped bikes with Perkles and had a go on his RC8. I love the handling on that bike.
