So how do you rate there dry weather grip ? I would be particularly interested to hear how quick they turn in and what the drive is like coming out of a corner.
I spent quite a bit of time discussing tyres on the forum when I was looking to change. I ended up getting the M7's imported from europe as the UK stock wasn't available in the sizes I wanted. I've also discussed at length with Kwacky and others on here about the handling characteristics of the tyre.
The shortened version is, they have enough grip to keep an RSV glued to the road when being manhandled by the ham fisted lump that sits on top of it. With regards to turn in, as the RSV is a heavy old beast compared to modern machines I opted for a slightly taller tyre than standard to aid turn in off the top but to also give a slightly larger contact area while turning. I have no problem keeping pace with much more modern machines in the twisties. As for the drive out of corners, I had complimentary remarks from one of the no limits instructors about how quickly the bike lept out of corners and how it was keeping him on his toes
I can do all of that and still commute, pootle, and have some serious fun in the wet..
