Did you notice if loomies was open tomorrow?? Was thinking of a blast out on the bike and it's a good stop for a bacon butty.

No worries, was a long shot. With the sun shining I think I'll have to go and see (cool)

Make sure the totty is hot, Blade and not cold and perhaps a little white
Enjoy the day. I will be driving 200 miles back home

That's better... Loonies was open and pretty busy too, stopped off for a cuppa and a bacon butty then headed off down the 272 to Petworth. Really nice run, but that air box is going to get me in trouble, the mid range pickup is much better now.
Only downside of the day was the 2 major zips in my leathers giving up. I had to take the jacket off with a pair of pliers

Joined what seemed every other biker in the Northwest and went for a blast I. Derbyshire.
Lot of forums or groups must have planned ride outs as quite a few large groups of people on the same bikes.

Mostly facebook groups I think. Most of the forums I use are very quiet.

Gave the big greenie a quick wash. I realised that there's no bobbins on it so I've bought some specialist ones from R&G

Bled the rear brake on the ten. Noticed it wasn't the best yesterday.

Turned it around.
Headed out into Derbyshire but traffic was too busy, I was too hot with too many layers on, wasn't gelling at all with the ride and knew staying out would be probably be a bad idea.
Did the sensible thing and turned it around. Now enjoying a glass of wine in the garden with my family and the sun on my facr I'm sure I did the right thing.

Sometimes saving it for another day is the best way, Blade.
I've been out this afternoon even though i didn't feel 100%. Just went for a ride round the lanes in Staffordshire.
Sometimes i quite enjoy that, stopped for a bottle for water in the sunshine and then headed back all at a fairly sedate pace.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Couldn't agree more, at the end of the day you can't ride with your head somewhere else. Your riding would suffer and could potentially be dangerous so you did the right thing there Blade.
I rode around 115 miles today up to Loomies and down the Alton road which is cracking, in fact I even turned back around a couple of times just to redo a road lol! One thing I've noticed since getting the chain and sprockets changed (standard teeth) is it feels more quicker, like it pulls better so I fitted the Sat nav to it today and it confirms that it is going quicker, it used to read less than what my Speedo is saying now it is basically spot on...unsure why but it feels great so bring on the summer [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Managed to get out on the SV for the first time this year!!!
Only a Bridgnorth run but went with a buddy who took me on some roads I've not been on before & it was great to be out! Wasn't sure it would start when I went to get it out of the garage as I'm not exactly the best at winter hibernating the bike! Had a experience in the past where I thought I was taking care of it & the spark plugs needed replacing!
so was very thankful for a functioning bike which didn't let me down!
