Not urgent (YET!) as MOT is in June but there is a crack in one of the down pipes on my exhaust system.
1. Is there a means of getting it fixed
and if not
2. Anyway of getting a cheaper aftermarket system, as a Triumph one is looking like being about £700+
No problem finding end cans just difficulty finding down pipes.

Re: New set of down pipes needed
My old Thundercat (RIP 2004) had down pipes with pinholes in them ... I had them filled with a bit of weld and turned out to be all good

Re: New set of down pipes needed
Don't know if you've approached your dealer with this issue Norfolknchance, but we've had a fair few of the 675 headers cracking - normally by the link pipes iirc, I know Triumph have replaced some sets foc, but obviously you'd be lucky to get a free set on a 7-8 yr old bike. But if you don't ask.....
Btw, if I'd known you wanted a set a fortnight back you could have had a spare set I've got, unfortunately I've sold them and they're being picked up this friday.

Re: New set of down pipes needed
I think the £700 was for all or at least most of a complete system, just me getting the wrong end of the stick.
About 4-500 seems the prices I'm getting now for the headers only. I would still like it to be less, but hey-ho.
