I buy mine from here http://www.theclayclothcompany.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;duke63 wrote:I didn't bother with winter wheels for the Audi as the price of the tyres alone was enough.Blade wrote:Get a clay cloth for the body panel contaminate removed but use carefully.
I thought you had winter wheels for the winter Duke ?
Another tip is polish your wheels the polish will protect there finish and make contaminate removal easier.
Any idea where i can get one of these clay cloths? I think I have seen Cookie saying how good these are.
Really nice guy and small company.
I use mine with water in an old spray bottle. You just need to make sure you clean the car well first and wax or polish it afterwards to lock in the shine.
Let me know if you need any other details of what I do. I know Blade likes to polish his cars too and does similar.
You'd be surprised in the difference. I wasn't convinced until I did it with a clay bar a few years ago but the clay cloths are now way better and do the same for a simpler process.

Cheers Cookie and Blade. I will get some cloths in and start the work once they stop putting bloody salt on the roads.
Next winter i will make sure i wax the wheels a couple of times over the winter months.

A clay cloth is better than a clay bar ? That's impressive

I don't honestly no if the results are better but I believe they are quicker and easier to use.
Just be careful the first time you use it Duke it is easy to mark the car if you use too much force or drag a contaminate across the bodywork.
Follow the instructions and you will get great results but just exercise caution when you first use it.

Not sure mate I'm tempted by one of these Chinese moped/scooters, I know I'll get slated for it but there's a dealer in Cannock that does the Pulse range which is one of the better quality models for around £1100 brand new on the road with a 5 year warranty ?Kwacky wrote:You getting another second one or splashing out?

Most of them come with a 12 month warranty as standard now but the dealer (Speedway Motorcycles) in Cannock offer a 5 year warranty, there prices are slightly higher than most dealers because of the offer but probably around £100 difference but I think the extra is definately worth paying for that kind of warranty.Perkles wrote:its worth a punt at that price if its got a 5 year warranty

For that money you could throw it away after 5 years. Cracking value.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Wow that's great for value Bratty. You got to let us know how you get on with that and if you do get one could you post up some piccies for me. I keep considering getting rid of the car and grabbing a cheap scooter. But the other half says I'll need a car for other bits and pieces but the saving could potentially be a massive one so always in two minds!Bratty wrote:Not sure mate I'm tempted by one of these Chinese moped/scooters, I know I'll get slated for it but there's a dealer in Cannock that does the Pulse range which is one of the better quality models for around £1100 brand new on the road with a 5 year warranty ?Kwacky wrote:You getting another second one or splashing out?

If you look at that over 5 years that's less than you'll pay for tyres on the cb1000r just for commuting.
