I asked a Yamaha dealer when there will be R1's in too demo yesterday and was told they have sold everyone they can get hold of so its unlikely they will need or indeed have a demo bike.

Not surprising tbh. I think Yamaha have played a blinder with marketing this bike. They have made it very special and desirable before anyone has even ridden one.

600 for track and ride outs.
Something else for commuting and ride outs.
The zx6r has taken a battering over the last 12 months. I've put over 12,000 miles on her. She needs a tidy up and some TLC.

I find it shocking people would buy a new bike without even trying it,what if it doesn't suit them,to small to cramped to powerful etc etc at least there should be loads of 2 nd hand ones around with giant chicken strips on the tyres In 18 months time

Nah, I'm just stupid, haha
Bloody glad I had a change of heart and test drove that porker yesterday though, 6 miles that may have saved me £6000 in repair bills.
