All gone quiet on the project front at the moment.

Decided I should get the log book updated with the DVLA and the new frame number before spending any more.

So all the paper works back with them and in there hands. Fingers crossed they don't Q plate it or give me any grief!

Massively slow at this again!

DVLA have thrown me a complete curve ball. I sent off the V5 to have the new chassis number added. After 4 (yes 4 months) of back and forth, they aren't willing to do so. Theyve stated the only way you can change the chassis number is with a brand new receipted frame. Which isn't going to happen! Only option then is to Q plate it, which again I'm not willing to do!

Live and learn I guess. So the new frame is scrap. The old frames long gone down the tip!

Picking up a new frame (with a V5) next week though. This time a CB900C, so a slightly sorter headstock, which works better for my plans anyway! Eitherway...a fecking nightmare!

Beginning to strip the engine for paint.



Snapped 2 of the bloody bolts! But got a new sump on eBay for 7quid


Other than that....all quiet until the new frames collected.

I can imagine the pain and misery the jobsworths at the dvla will inevitably have caused. Its almost like they send there staff on training to be incompetent and awkward. I'm surprised they all get on the course though as by my dealings with a lot of agencies these days seems that type of course is heavily over subscribed and surprising so many w@nkers sorry I mean customer service agents managed to actually get on a course.

On a plus note the project is moving forward and I guess all projects have a few headaches, let's hope their now all behind you.

Years ago I did up a car, boughtr a crap one with good running gear and then bought a tidy body. I tried to do the right thing and had the same issues. So in the end I just chsnged chassis plates over and said my winscreen had smashed to get another rego/mot sticker. Technically I illegally converted that car, but the proper way was just so damn hard!

Only 30quid. Amassing quite a collection of spares!

Balls balls balls! Although the new steering stems appeared, it's the right diameter and spacing, but too fecking wide! The one question I forgot to ask!!

So I began to cut in anger!!!


Out comes the rust. Far far less than the last 2 frames!


On goes the hoop
