S1000rr Test Ride

Well I'm going to start praying to the weather gods , just booked in a test ride on a bmw S1000rr 2015 model on the 17th so if all goes well I will do a little review.

They are electronically limited until they have had their first service though not sure that will make much difference to a 200bhp missile.

Good job Triumph aren't as high tech in limiting there test rides as I gave there bike a very comprehensive appraisal of the 675 engine's entire rev range.

You do realise it will be one of, if not the very best bike you have ever ridden and you will want to sell body parts to own it

Looking forward to a review, watched the Barons review on it and he seemed to love the new bike. Wish I could fit on 1 to test ride it myself...My legs are too short [CONFOUNDED FACE]

I must say I'm surprised Rossgo is it really that big ? A lot of modern litre sports bike's are almost 600 size now.

Well the last one was...I could literary dangle my legs and swing them when sitting on the bike! Though I must admit when I went to Alton for the launch they had their demo bike out and it actually didn't look that big. I wanted to take a sit on it but got to nervous to!! May pop by again and have another little look....saying that though it's well out of my price range anyway!!

I think its limited to 9k rpm which should mean 120-130 bhp at the back hoop so hardly lacking and its not often you get to push a litre bike above 9k on the road limited or not.

Perkles is if really 5mm higher, no point me even trying then!! The only bike I could (almost) flat foot was my CBR400RR my legs are very short. Its annoying because I'm slightly taller than my dad but that must be in the body because he never gets much of a problem flat footing on other bikes!

If the bike has not got its super, super, dynamic modes chip in, I don't think you are going to worry too much, or even miss it first outing, the bikes are bloody awesome.

I think it's a very good idea BMW limit the bikes until run in. Protects the buyers purchase and might reduce BMW warranty claims so everyone is a winner, customer and dealer, alike.

Don't think they use the same tech on their cars, or if they do I wasn't aware but being a diesel its very low reving anyway so maybe not needed.

There is no early service or checkup on new cars now, Blade. The first time a dealer will see them after first going out is now at the first main service which can be 18,000 miles down the line.

True BMW didn't see my car until it was 2 years old now I come to think of it.
