Well. I've taken the plunge and sourced an aftermarket Nylon R6 throttle tube from the US, it was still cheaper than sourcing from Yamaha UK.I've based my approach on the comments and inputs from the Yamaha R1 site , the job has been done before and seems to offer a safe upgrade. After that I guess its a case of riding the thing and hoping the change suits me.Not risking much at £ 16

...........................just to add that the R6 throttle provides a 1/5 turn to WOT. I have high hopes of a sound solution.
