This really is baffling chris.chris wrote:sooo it wasn't the wheel bearings and I haven't lost any wheel weights to throw that off
Could it perhaps be a wobble from the back end, that you perceive as coming from the front.?

Re: speed wobble
soo I went to check the head bearings and found the yoke nut wasn't even finger tight, I haven't a clue why this is loose as it was torqued up when the yoke was replaced ages ago and its only recently started wobbling
ive tightened it back up now ill test ride it in the morning to see if this has fixed the problem

Re: speed wobble
Eek.. After watching mechanics work on my bike and chatting to them I always mark up any bolt or but I have worked on with a tippex pen. It makes it really easy to spot situations like this really early on.chris wrote:soo I went to check the head bearings and found the yoke nut wasn't even finger tight, I haven't a clue why this is loose as it was torqued up when the yoke was replaced ages ago and its only recently started wobbling

Hope you've got to the bottom of the problem though

Re: speed wobble
As others have said, that's highly likely to be the problem, hopefully it's as easy as a re-torque. Be glad if you've got to the bottom of it, wouldn't be a nice issue to have.

Re: speed wobble
I don't think we were much help in the end, you found and sorted it all by yourself. Glad it's all good again now!
