Took the kids to see the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. It's pretty good for a family film. I enjoyed it.

Bill Maher.
Not a fan of his politics....and he's very political - but he's a very clever comedian.

Not at all.....I'm not particularly religious myself.StMarks wrote:What do you disagree with Dazzle.?D41 wrote:Bill Maher.

It's more his constant haranguing of right wing politics....I'm not the hard-core Neo-nazi everyone thinks I am, I'm right in the middle....so I think I'd like to see him present a more balanced view.....still, not my show....but I do enjoy it.

Fwiw I think he seem to do an excellent job of highlighting the "shortcomings" of some rather too self absorbed sections of American society.
But then again, being as I'm not American.......

He does indeed....but he also has a whole team of writers backing him up....comedy/satire etc. is actually fairly easy from a performance standpoint.....coming up with the material?....not so much.

Jackie Chan's First Strike.....I have a soft spot for Jackie Chan movies, even though I know it's like watching wrestling.

at least you know he does all his own stunts and that he's capable of looking after himself.

Re: What you watching?
He doesn't......his insurers have cut down on his "own stunts" for quite a while....call it maybe 15 years or so....a lot depends on where the movie is made....a Stanley Tong movie, it's usually him....but Tong only produces/directs Asian/Pacific Rim movies.....plus, the guy is just getting older.

Yeah....me too...FWIW, Michelle Yeoh was just as big a star....you ever see "Supercop", where she jumped the bike onto the train?? She ate it about three times!! God, I felt bad for her.
