Bit of bike fettling today..
Tested out the paddock stand cups on the track bike, god how easy is it with bobbins.. But they fit the paddock stand so all is good. With the help of the dremmel I fettled one of my old baffles to fit the can and it works well. Finished the session of with a wipe off and quick coat of wax... All ready to play next weekend

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Went out for an early breakfast run to Newlands Corner... Arrived and had a cup of tea and a bacon roll waiting for me
BMW Garage open day for lunch - lol - sausage sarnie, chin wag with a few buds and then headed off for a little spin.
Was really feeling good, out into the countryside... brum brum this is great... Came to a roundabout a little busy, long line of traffic on the otherside waiting to enter it... anyway pull away, 1st, 2nd, little bump on the exit wheel went up, had great balance, foot over the rear brake, feathering the throttle.... WOW! this wheel is staying up ha ha ha ha... Two girls in a little blue MX5 with the roof down were clapping.... Riding God...
As I went past on the back wheel

I suppose this was the plus side to the near death experience I had a bit later on.... out of no where a deer ran out into the road, if I had been a millisecond slower we would have been a pile of flesh and metal all over the road
I kid you not, just as I passed the deer, it shot out beside me, we missed by millimetres, phew!!! my heart was pounding I mean really pounding. I stopped for a bit to calm down I was shaking.
An eventful afternoon for sure.

Flipping heck Frankie, deer hopping out like that are bloody scary, had it happen when I've been in my old Vito and was on a 10min adrenalin trip, I think you can safely say if the ticker didn't jack it in after that you're good for years. Just out of interest they weren't serving venison sausages at the Beemer open day were they? Karma can be a tricky thing sometimes.
Stay safe matey.

Jeez frankie.. Glad your ok mate.
Deer are my biggest fear where I live. So many times I've ridden home in the dark and you can see the glinting eyes in the headlights, seriously shits you up.

A collision with a deer will write a car off. Happens quite often up on Cannock Chase.
Glad you were too quick for Bambi today Frankie.

Been out for the first ride since getting back from the trip. Rode down to Ducati Coventry and booked a test ride on their 899 Panigale for next Saturday.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I gave it a wash/wax and put it back away (last night's takeaway was a BAD idea), nearly a year with this Street Triple R and I still love the thing but October is going to be an expensive month with the 6K service (5K really) Insurance and a pair of tyres... I have settled on Metzeler but still wondering if the Z8 is worth a try for a bit of winter riding or will the M7RR handle that... Either will be better than Rosso Corsa's on cold/damp roads

I'd go for the Z8's if you intend riding through the winter.
Took the 748 out for a thrash this morning. First time i have ridden it since July. Nice to be reminded what a lovely thing its is to ride.

Rode it to Donny.
Ordered a new M7rr rear. This one is pretty much gone now. It's starting to ripple
