I did walk through a number of webs being early morning. No hitchhikers that I noticed.

Make a small pond/water tub in your garden. The mozzies will use that for breeding. Put some fish in it, let the fish eat the larvae.

The problem is up here on the mountain is we don’t have town water supply. So everyone has water tanks and lots don’t keep them covered/sealed so we’ll never get on top of the mozzie issue here. We even get them in the middle of winter to some degree. Also in summer we get the semi tropical storms that have 50-60mm down pours, which leaves lots of standing water for a few days and hot humid condition's.

Never going to prevent them, I focus on preventing them getting inside.

It’s been up around 70-80% lately which is unusual for here, generally a dry heat.

Today is forecast for 38°C (currently 34 and still not lunchtime ) and the humidity is only 37% atm.

We get heaps of them where I am, just fished one out of pool!

They like you to catch them if you can do so safely, and take them to a collection site so they can be milked to create anti venom.

I just decapitate them with the spade.
