It’s a bit like that
after over a decade of fly out work my social circle had got rather small. So working close to home is definitely coming with advantages.
Ended up being 9 of us all together, only 2 from work. 5 of them on old Katanas, all in great shape and thankfully ridden how they should be. They gave it some when it was appropriate which was good to be amongst.

Gave both bikes a check over. The sx was put on charge for a bit just to top up the battery. I put the new carbon bits on the MV. I'll take some photos when I next get the bike out of the garage

The carburettor on the KTM has been leaking fuel for quite a while, so as the weather was shite today I tried waggling a spanner at it.
After a couple of hours I'd stripped the carb off and removed the float bowl, cleaned it all, replaced the gasket (which was buggered), and put it all back together. As a bonus, the bike still runs so I must have done something right.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Bolted a few more bits on, some had to come back off to replace missing clips or because I had the assembly order wrong, I did a 60 hour week last week so I blame brain fog.
Tomorrow should be the final parts before I wheel it out and give it a good clean/polish/ACF-50 then clip the final 2 outer panels on.
I do need to order some grommets for the screen and then it's ride time... Next weekend, no point taxing it for January for 1 ride.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Commuted to work on the Ducati, first time I’ve commuted on a bike in about 15-16 yrs (since I flipped the Daytona 600)
The commute in the car the best I’ve been able to do getting to work is 1.36, and that’s leaving at 4.45. Leave at 5 and it’s about 1.50
Got in today just on 1.20 and really enjoyed it. Tank will only last one round trip though, 175 km.
Coming home I got caught in a major downpour and now my leathers, boots and gloves are all saturated

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
It's my 3 year Christmas
my PCP agreement on the triumph is almost up.
Been doing a bit of dealer tourism recently, but been struggling to find something that tickled my fancy. I fancy going back to an upright sports tourer, much like the BMW XR, but I've already had one of those.
Took the triumph up into London on weds to check out a potential bike. Riding in central London is quite an experience, fortunately the office has an amazing carpark that is really secure.
I found a winner and a deposit has been placed. The triumph has been returned to stock and am just awaiting the call to say the new bike is ready.
I'll post up a thread when I've picked it up.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
The Ducati rear indicators stopped working. Shouldn’t be too hard to sort I thought.
3 evenings of tinkering and I have the arse end all pulled apart, wiring looms unwrapped and still no clue.
The LED indicators themselves are fine, proven that with a hard wire test. Bypassed a few plugs to discount them and still no luck. Found one plug that had been zip tied together as the clip had been broken, but the number plate light runs through that as well and it has a common earth to the indicators and plate light. Plate light is working fine. But I plan to cut that plug out anyway and put in a new one.
If that doesn’t fix it the next item in the loom is the BBS (rear black box module). For some reason Ducati decided a flasher unit was to easy and run the rear indicators through this BBS module that also manages the ABS, Traction control, mileage display, fuel level sensor etc. everything else is working so I struggle to believe it’s that. And it’s a AU$300+ part, that then needs a service tech to synchronise to the rest of the CANBUS modules.
I’m pulling my hair out at this stage.
Severely tempted to Hotwire the front indicators straight to the back ones

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
The sun came out today

Took the KTM out for a few hours of green laning.. soooo much fun... Epic amounts of mud everywhere and puddles up to the foot pegs. I was grinning from ear to ear for the whole ride.
Just cleaned it off and it's drip drying before going back to bed.
All the bits of the triumph are all packed up and ready for trade-in on Thursday. I'm not at all excited or anything...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Had a little run out on the 765, yesterday and today. 1st time in ages, The XR has been the bike of choice in the winter months.
Friday was a day off to take the YZ out in the mud on a private hire MX day.... OMFG.... a few months off the bike and every part of my body hurts after that..... Fun though as always. Spent more time cleaning it, me and the kit! now have a new rockery in the garden, the amount of crap that came back on the bike....
At least my leg and knee seemed to take the battering, without giving out, so that's a big positive.

Fitted the Puig touring screen with it's spoiler and, it's big. I should get the bike out at the weekend and see if it cures the standard screen's buffeting.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
A day out with the usual suspects, about 200 miles to Scarborough and back with a coffee stop at Oliver's Mount. The screen works great and it is more comfortable than I expected, just the high beam aim to adjust and she's done... But I am now the one in the group calling for fuel stops
A couple of pics.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
It's an awesome bike, Sergio fitted a DNA air filter and is loving the extra induction noises, and the 3rd gear wheelies. It doesn't look like a performance bike but in his words "She goes!!"
