Trump is doing his usual, threatening to end NATO, pull American troops out of Europe and handing Ukraine to Russia.

It's bizarre to see so many Americans all of a sudden in love with Russia

Imo that ^ applies to personalities like Mr Trump most especially. The same tactic would not serve you as well with old Vlad, different strokes,,,,,
