Out cycling today and just got absolutely nailed by some b@stard hanging a u-turn.
There's a reasonable amount of blood to clean up, and all down my right side took a decent battering.
The driver didn't stop.
Two very nice ladies helped me get myself together. I'm going to be very sore later. Hell, I'm very sore right now.
He got me pretty good. Boo-hoo.
I don't suppose it was on CCTV, or someones dashcam. Here in the UK failing to stop at the scene of an accident is an offence in itself.
GWS Dazzle, hope you don't ache too much tomorrow.

Bugger! Hope you're OK. Sounds very similar to mine, I still can't use my right hand

Everyone makes mistakes, but not stopping is inexcusable. Hope you heal up soon mate and the bike isn’t too bad.
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.
Thanks. Lolz....bike's okay-ish...no real "damage" as such, but it jumped down and stayed in one of the granny gears, so riding it home like that was a rare treat. I'm going to take it in to the shop and get it sorted...I'm sure it's fairly minor. I'm going out on my Ventana in a bit to get some miles in, and see if I can get my right side loosened up a bit, otherwise I'm just going to be riding in circles.
Oh....I forgot to mention... I went shopping for a few things last night, and when I went to pay the machine wouldn't take my PIN...tried again and again. Nowt.
The couple next in line offered to buy all my stuff! Now, I had cash so I just ended up using that anyway, but what a nice gesture!! I don't even think they spoke English, but "kindness is a universal language, blah, blah, etc."
Kinda restored my faith in people just a little bit....I needed that.
Got my Trek mtb out of the shop....new brake & shift levers - the others got buggered during my recent dismount...at least one side did, gearshift issues all fettled now, new brakes pads, etc. Bike rides like a dream.
I still fancy a new handlebar, but the place that fixed the bike only carries riser bars, and that ain't happening.
They did me proud though...$250 well spent. Pricey, but I'm chuffed with the result.
Nice!
That trail just rolls & flows as it unfolds....an almost perfect ribbon of dirt. You ride it very well.
Invest in some gloves...well, at least two of them.
