Got it out the shed with the intention of giving a clean.. decided i was too tired after the drive back from Devon and put it back in the shed.

Almost put it in the back of a car when she panicked and decided to slam on the brakes in the middle of the Aston Expressway.
Then spent 4 miles behind a car using cruise control while the driver texted her mates. As she did 71mph on the outside lane of the M6. I had my right hand indicator on and my lights on full beam. 4 miles for her to notice me.

I hope you told her to put her phone down as you went past. I was sat behind a driver on the m1 on sunday in the fast lane middle lane was free doing 49 mph as he was on his phone. I signalled to him the error of his ways as I went past. I am so amused at the moment they hammer speeders but who's more safe a speeder concentrating on what there doing or a person on there phone looking at a screen with one hand on the steering wheeling.

Being caught on the phone should be an instant 3 month ban IMO. Probably the biggest issue on the roads today tbh. I include france in this too. Bloody loads of them

Bit of interim maintainence.
New tyres fitted and whilst the wheels were of did the following also.
Chain cleaned, lubed, tensioned and aligned.
Coolant topped up.
Brake caliper pistons cleaned.
Torqued all fasteners.
Adjusted clutch free play.
Changed the oil (new sump bolt + washer)

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Well I have just come in from changing the wheels back to the dry set on the gixer... Man I hate the changing rear wheels!!! arghhhhhh!
Changing them in the pits was not ideal, What I mean by this is the fact I had no idea what size everything was, no tools of my own, a learning curve, with added barracking while I was doing it ha ha, and the pressure of trying to get it done quick to get out on track. So now I have greased up the axial's, added some copper grease to the pinch bolts on the front, and just a good general look around, like you do.
While all this was going on I could not resist giving it a little clean, well one side of the bike anyway ha ha.

Replaced the battery. I looked at one of the lithium ones in the store and was amazed by how much lighter it was than the conventional battery, but in the end it wasn't $55 lighter for how I ride. If I was looking to shave weight on my bike however, I'd been looking at one

Rode it in the mist.
I've noticed there's fewer cars putting their lights on when the visibility is poor. Thanks for that.
