Adventure/Camping/Day Trip Gear

Hoping this post can be used by all as its multi-use.

I'm considering getting myself a JetBoil or something similar for making coffee, pot noodles, and also for frying bacon to make a sandwich... does anybody have equipment they use for similar? Keen for recommendations and experiences.

Currently looking toward the Fire-Maple X2 which can be had for around £50

I've still got my old ( as in, much older than you mate) catering kit set.
I think it's made by Tranjia.
Am I recommending it for you ? - No, not really. Modern gas stoves are so cheap, easy and quick that there is no comparison really.
Would I still use it myself ? -Actually yes.: There is something comforting & nostalgic about the scent of meths mixed in with cooking food that does me as much good as the actual "getting away from it adventure" itself. Also, the fact that it takes a while reinforces the "getting away from our fast, instant gratification normal".

My mum is big into it all and so I took her with me to GoOutdoors this morning and walked away with this.. she has one of the screw on pan cooking converter thingys at home unused.. if i bought the smallest canister it would stow away inside the supplied cup and would be super packable.

This is my setup, plus my mate's petrol stove on the right. It's all just cheap stuff from Amazon, but it folds down to nothing. I'd recommend the Zebra Billy can, it's a bit bulky on the bike but you can fill it up with stuff.
