Sitting at the airport severely hungover
Massive storm has hit Sydney, expecting 100 km winds. Flight has been delayed twice. Wondering if I'm going to get home today.

Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Took mini Gee down to the towns sailing club - he's got two weeks of sail training, fingers crossed he'll get his level 3+4, plus spinnaker and seamanship (weather dependent).
House is now unnaturally quiet.

What will he be training in Deegee.?Deegee wrote:Took mini Gee down to the towns sailing club - he's got two weeks of sail training, fingers crossed he'll get his level 3+4, plus spinnaker and seamanship (weather dependent).

Wind is looking "rather challenging" for sail training. I think that spinnaker may act as a parascending device, if he deploys it in this weather.!

Just got him back, he's been sailing a Topper Topaz with the Uno rig, he went solo for the first time today and got hit by a big gust in the middle of a gybe, which earned him a dunking.StMarks wrote:What will he be training in Deegee.?

This is the sort of thing he fancies when he's a bit better.

That's the way it's going Kwacky, you only had to see some of the Americas cup from SF to see that, visible technical evolution.

Those Toppers look cracking little crafts, certainly more interesting than the Mirror I learnt on.Deegee wrote: Just got him back, he's been sailing a Topper Topaz with the Uno rig, he went solo for the first time today and got hit by a big gust in the middle of a gybe, which earned him a dunking. He loves it, and the wetting didn't put him off at all, he won't be messing around with the kite until he's passed 3&4, launching one of those in a blow is definitely heart in the mouth stuff and not for a beginner!
I've never flown a Hydrofoil, they always look amazing though. Sounds like Mini Gee has found a great way to keep you on a diet of bread & water for the foreseeable

How'd it go Kwacky -terminally embarrassing or did he just hand over to you?
Today I've been dragged round furniture shops looking for wardrobes, Mrs Gee visited her mates house last week and came back with severe case of restlessness in the decorating dept. Mini Gee is the unwilling recipient of her attentions in his bedroom. He's a boy - he puts things away on the floor mostly.

Re: What are you doing today ??
The meeting went very well. The barrister is more than happy with what has been done so far, had no further suggestions to make and is happy to run it to trial.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Last night I had some strange noises coming from the loft, so when I got home tonight I went up to investigate.... Came face to face with a squirrel, little barsteward has pulled the side of the soffit off and crawled in
Caught his eyes with the torch.. anyway I thing I managed to scare him out for now.
Got the big ladder out to get up to the soffit to try and fit a board over and block it!!!!!
I am not good with heights on a ladder that's for sure...I made 5 attempt's before I could get to the top
Anyway while I was up there I could do sod all, I was just clinging on. In the end I rammed some bricks in to plug the gap for the time being, I need to get someone in, I just cant deal with the ladder bit, I really thought I was going to fall off
It is on a slope as well, I had visions of it slipping away from me.
Anyway I will see if its worked tonight

My neighbor says that Squirrels are just cute looking Rats with fluffy tails Fkkr1s.
They are quite adept though, so your "rammed bricks" may only prove a minor inconvenience mate.:
