Re: Brexit thread
Souces in Ireland reckon the UK is about to trigger Article 16 to suspend the NI Protocol.
This could see the whole EU trade trade deal collapse according to some.

Re: Brexit thread
Do refugees have blue passports?
Laura whatsisname reckons the Government is about to activate Article 16, which could trigger all sorts of shit and instability.

It's a great distraction. Hardly anyone knows what it means but it keeps the uneducated happy.

Well, they are printed in France iirc...duke63 wrote:Do refugees have blue passports? .
I wonder if the French have thought of selling them each advance copies at a reduced rate ?

Re: Brexit thread
I thought refugees generally don't have passports - that it's just part of the whole "refugee thing" ???
And I guess a lot would depend on where they're from & where they're headed, I suppose.
(hint:- the UK!!)

Re: Brexit thread
They probably do have passports while here in France as there is a requirement to carry ID. Funny thing is that many Brits expect them to be arrested and deported by the French, well why would they be? They have committed no crime.
It is not a crime in France to exist. It is not a crime to wander along the beach. It is not a crime to go for a boat trip. Why would two French coppers try and challenge 20 brown people who want to go for a paddle in a boat when no crime has been committed.
It is a crime to enter the UK without permission, and that is the point at which they have lost their passports, but that is a UK crime and for the UK authorities to deal with.

Re: Brexit thread
Meanwhile the Govt have pulled the hat out of the bag by announcing a free trade deal with our near neighbour Australia which will replace 0.08% of the EU 4% trade lost.
And the farmers who thought Brexit would make them millionaires now find we are doing free trade deals with Countries whose prime exports are meat in direct competition to them!!

Re: Brexit thread

As those who voted as conditioned were assured, all ^ that lot ^ is just brainwashing by doomsters & their project "Project Fear"

Besides the new Blue passports we all have to buy now will look so pretty

Oh, and of course we have that £350 million per week extra for the NHS, I bet that has been helpful during the pandemic.?

Re: Brexit thread
Notice how no one in Government is 'celebrating' the first birthday of getting Brexit done?
Notice how no one in Government has mentioned that from today there is even more red tape involved when importing and exporting with the EU?
I wonder why?
