"I think it's still early (to sign). I don't want to sign anything before, at least, the test in Malaysia. I want to see the evolution of our bike. I believe this is normal. I don't think it's normal to sign for 2023 without starting 2022 so I guess I know what I want. "I'll wait a bit to see how Yamaha is doing, especially to see the evolution or not of the new bike in Sepang," he said.
"I'm asking for very important things. Then if they don’t get what I want at least they try and there’s a little improvement that’s fine. But if I see them going in a completely different direction, this could affect my future with Yamaha. "
Doesn’t sound too certain of his Yamaha future.
