Very sadly killed in a motorbike crash yesterday.
Very much a part of the Ducati racing heritage.

Re: Paul Smart RIP
He's been around for years. I've seen him at a couple of track days. I'm sure he used to do the Folly trackdays.

Whilst my heart goes out to his family & friends for their loss,,,,duke63 wrote:Very sadly killed in a motorbike crash yesterday.
,,, it seems it may not be a bad way to go, from his perspective.?
We all die somehow.
For him there was no protracted painful illness, or general deterioration robbing him of his dignity & degrading his persona.
He died fairly suddenly, whilst doing something he loved partially for it's element of risk, & whilst he could still enjoy it.
Fwiw that ^ sounds rather like a hidden win to me.
RIP

RIP.
It's still a life cut short though... the guy might have had another 10, or even 20 years left on the clock for all anyone knows.

Re: Paul Smart RIP
He was 78.
What scares me is that a bloke with his skill and experience can be taken out on the road.
