Re: Back on a Kwak
I took up the option of extending the warranty for two years say the heavily discounted price of £200. Seems daft not to for that sort of money.

With your track record, an utter bargain imho. (so long as you keep it that long..)Kwacky wrote:I took up the option of extending the warranty for two years say the heavily discounted price of £200. Seems daft not to for that sort of money.

Re: Back on a Kwak
1st service - £90. Bargain.
Next service is at 7,500 miles or 12 months. Kwak have dropped the silly mid service inspections they used to have.

Blimey, that does seem cheap, you don't get much for under a ton these days.Kwacky wrote:1st service - £90. Bargain. ...
Presumably that must just be basically a check over, and not replacement lubricants or service parts.?

Re: Back on a Kwak
Full bike inspection (I presume this just means checking for wobbly bolts and any chain or clutch lever adjustment)
Oil and filter change.

Re: Back on a Kwak
There was a lot of movement going on over the weekend when I was pushing on a bit. I know the suspension is budget. The tyres are very hit and miss, they move around a lot and they liked to push the bike out wide.
I'll have a play with the pressures but having read other SX riders reporting the same I suspect a new set of boots is the best option.

Re: Back on a Kwak
In what way was there a lot of movement?
Did the bike skip over the surface and skid? Sit deep in the travel and push wide? Traction under acceleration suddenly letting go? TCS flashing more than normal?
Just be wary that tyres can very easily mask a bigger problem that's all

Re: Back on a Kwak
I'm not technical enough to understand or answer your questions

I'm just going on my experience of using road tyres on the road and whether I like them or not. These aren't very good. I don't like them.

Re: Back on a Kwak
Haha.. that's fair enough
Just trying to gauge if the tyres are the actual problem

Re: Back on a Kwak
I know the suspension needs adjusting or upgrading. But that wasn't the issue. I can generally ride around suspension issues. Don't forget I rode home with a failed rear shock on the Versys
These are just shit tyres.

Re: Back on a Kwak
Had a voicemail to tell me that the extra bits I ordered for the bike have arrived. I need to book it in to get them fitted.
