The Africa Twin has been sold. I need to cancel the subscription for the tracker. I forgot all about it.

Fitting LED headlight bulbs to the Sprint, Bright!! but a prefect pattern thanks to the Projector lenses. The entire nose had to come off to get access to the middle high beam bulb.
I was going to wash and polish it but it keeps raining.

I loved it. I didn't want to sell it but a shoulder injury means I couldn't ride it for long. It was a big bike and heavy but it was pretty nimble for its size and you could have fun on it. Lovely sounding engine and fantastic road presence.Tuffers wrote:

There's loads of photos of it in the Your Bike section.

I took the MV out for an evening ride. Nice quiet roads.

Removed the horrible sticking out front indicators from the black R1250RS. Fitted some nice circular LED ones behind the BMW roundels instead. Much better visibility from all directions.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Nearly did a stoppie
coming back from Leominster on the A44 I was following a Sainsbury's delivery van. I was quite happy to just follow him. All of a sudden from around 50mph he came to a complete halt. Nearly went up his arse
. In the middle of the road was a big sheet of insulation that's used behind walls. Must have fell off a lorry.

It's not a proper ride out unless you're caught out by a momentary lapse of concentration.

Indeed.
.... As long as it's your own lapse and not someone else's, that is.

Gave both bikes the once over. Oiled the SX chain as I'm going out tomorrow for the day.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I was hoping to spend the day on the sx but the traffic everywhere was fecking terrible.
I intended to head up north towards Ashbourne and beyond. The best way is the M42 around the outside of Brum. As I get towards the M42/M40 junction there's signs about queues and reduced speeds, so I decide to go over to the M40.
Off at Henley and head towards Warwick. As I get close to Warwick the traffic is building up so I peel to Stratford.
Then down towards the Cotswolds.
There's a massive festival on. Great. Loads of closed roads, diversions, traffic lights and tail backs.
So I decide to give around Worcester a try. Just as bad
130 miles in just over 3 hours.
Such a shit waste of a day.

Unfortunately i don't think its just holdiay time.
Britain's roads just have too many vehicles on them unless you get well away from any major town or city.

Coming back from Cornwall, the M5 from just north of Exeter up to Bristol was averaging below 30mph with no real obvious reason.
