How about staying at the Tan Hill Inn? The pub from the Everest double glassing advert and the highest pub in Britain. Biker friendly and apparently very good food. Plus they normally have live music on at the weekend.

That's a shame, thinking about it we might struggle to find anywhere not already fully booked

Yep not looking good, just had a quick check on Booking.com and there's not a lot left.

Airbnb looking like a better option, there's a few left on there, how about this? Not very good for the pub mind and by the looks of that drive you'll wish you'd still got the AT.

Even a travellodge outside Skipton is £200 for 2 nights
I'll have a good look at the weekend. See what's available and where.

Have a look at Kendal itself. I looked last night and Skipton had nothing. Kendal had more.

Re: Weekender - 10th-12th September
Is it too risky with the weather to move this to the following weekend! I'm struggling to match up places to go with accommodation.

Not sure a week makes much difference, it's pot luck weather wise anyway.Kwacky wrote:Is it too risky with the weather to move this to the following weekend! I'm struggling to match up places to go with accommodation.

How about this, much cheaper than the Travelodge and sleeps 7.

I'm back on the fence, things at work are very uncertain so I put some details in the "work" thread.. Either weekend should be ok for me but it depends on having a job at the time.
