Maybe run them behind the caravan on the way down to tire them out! God I hate the first week of summer holiday.D6Nutz wrote:Today is more painting, before packing the caravan and heading off down into the new forest with the kids.
Leaving Mrs nutz behind so she can catch up with friends and have a break before the school holidays start.
What are you doing today ??

To be fair they're both knackered from school an in need of the holidays.Monty wrote:Maybe run them behind the caravan on the way down to tire them out! It's all quiet in the caravan now and I'm relaxing with a couple of cold cans.
Tomorrow we are going for a walk in the morning and an archery session in the afternoon, should be fun if nobody gets shot

Hiding from the sun
That and nursing a sore right wrist, all I can think of is that following Phil on his R1200GS at interesting speeds on back lanes was a bad idea, his high speed arm chair was smoooooth, my Sprint was launching me out of the seat and not enjoying it... It's got me browsing Tiger 800's and 1050's again for a less "Wristy" riding position.

I have had an e-mail from True Life Magazine , they would like to interview me and publish me in their next issue , I have never heard of them but I suppose all publicity is good , I'm still considering it .

My Dad and his Wife are visiting in little over an hour. I've borrowed a fan from the In-Laws and created a draft between the front and back of the house which is much more pleasant. Inside temperature was 28°C last night.
We have actually not put a vest or clothes on our Son in 2 days other than when he has to go in his car seat. We have even put wet flannels on him and let the air passing over cool him down. Super drowsy baby.

I had come to the same conclusion . I have replied to their initial e-mail and seem to have had an automated response , I don't think I wil be pursuing it any further .

In the office.. with my sunglasses on. These lights sent me home with a migraine last week and it's nearly sending me home early again today.

I'm at home but it's too hot to work. I can't get comfortable and it's a struggle to concentrate.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Running simulations from home on custom storage racks (simulating their Factor of Safety based on worst case storage attempts by operators). While it was running I installed the hub upgrade on my MTB.... it just so happened that I missed a whole team meeting while I was doing that as I didn't check my calendar before hand. Oops.
My brother is coming to see Baby Cav for the first time today and he's bringing my Mum as well. He lives in Brum now so I don't see him often. I only hear from him when his car has broken again... so every few weeks.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Second day on dayshift after swapped over from nights after a week at work, joys of running on approx. 50% manning. This sis actually the first time I've been on days for 15 months. Was trashed yesterday, but feeling a little more alive today.

Completing some internal careers advice questionnaires and looking into current vacancies. I like the company I'm in, the pay and my Manager is brilliant but this is definitely a dead end job and certain aspects are seriously frustrating.
Meanwhile, my Son is absolutely loving his new swing (Nuna Leaf, it swings side to side and self propelled for minutes) and my Wife sent me a gorgeous video of him enjoying it. Little things like that make such a difference to my day
(extra info, the swing was £30 2nd hand.. we weren't paying £240 for one brand new)
