Chuff me, what a place Doncaster is. Hookers out on the streets and there was a drug deal going on in the house we were inspecting.

Not a place I'd like to live.

Just got back from holidays. Gone from a very pleasant 30+ centigrade to a decidedly shite 16 deg C in the space of 4 hours.
What a welcome back!
Anyway had a great time and really did not want to come back.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Today I'll be limping around doing as little as possible. Knee feels like it's settled down, but calves and hamstrings are still tight as buggery. Got the MotoGP to watch, recorded it overnight.
That's what I cop coming home from work during winter, except I look forward to it cause it means I'm not working!
Glad you had a good break mate

Re: What are you doing today ??
Just got back from the hospital regarding my knee follwoing my off at Snetterton.
Finally got a consultant appointment who had my MRI results. It appears the original dignosis of torn/damaged ligaments was incorrect as the MRI is showing torn meniscus cartilage. As it has now been about 7 weeks since the accident, I have not been to impressed. After the off I was given a leg brace (velcro/strappy type) and 2 crutches and sent on my way with no information on what to do. I decided after about 2 weeks to lose the brace and last week went down to 1 crutch. Due to the length of time not knowing what to do, there has been a bit of muscle wastage in my left thigh which I now have to go and have physio for
.
Regarding the cartilage, he has told me to carry on with nmormal activities and wait and see:
- if i feel pain
- if my knee locks up
- if my knee gives way
The giving way is the most likely as that is what is currently happening. If any of the above continue then I will likely have to have key hole surgery to replace or repair the cartilage.
Anyway, at least the ligaments are looking ok as that would have been a real PITA.

That's crap service. Do you have private health care? It might be worth having a check up with a consultant.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Unfortunatley not.
I am going to speak with consultants PA later to see if they can sned me the MRI as I would quite like to get a second opinion on it without paying for another scan.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Good idea. A copy should have been sent to your GP so ask there if the hospital won't oblige.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Asked about this very question re my 11yr old lads hip issue, the somewhat arrogant answer from the Conslt Radiologist was that GP's don't get the images as they aren't trained to interpret them properly, when asked he admitted he wouldn't say that to my GP's face. I'd pay for a seat if he did though.

I thought they nationalised the database so it's all there?
Anyway, you're entitled to make a request for your records and reports.
