I've got the 6 in 1.

It's fine for topping up the battery on the MV to make sure the battery is 100% but there's not enough storage to recharge a flat battery.

I can't use it on the Africa Twin because the lithium charger does a full year cycle before it starts to charge the battery. The portable battery runs out before the cycle ends.

I have looked at bigger storage batteries.

I used to get a low battery warning from the trackers but I haven't had one for either bike. I'm not sure if it's because I've not been in the garage, so the signal hasn't been going to the tracker company. I've checked my settings on the app and it seems ok

The battery is housed in a small plastic box and then the tool kit is screwed on the side to keep it in place. Access to the battery is from the left side under the seat. It is a small battery. I presume it's packed in to make sure it doesn't move when you're off road.

Rich at Sutton told me that the batteries use a massive amount of power to crank the bike. Most aftermarket batteries aren't strong enough.

His advice is to leave it on charge for 2 or 3 days. It might recover.

I've told Sam we need to move so I can have a house with a garage attached or a power source

There is no alternative to the Honda battery. Either they're the wrong size and won't fit or they're not strong enough to start the Honda.

I think I'll start a crowdfund

Long enough on charge and you can still get years out a battery, it happened a few times on my oem ninja battery.

Bit the bullet and bought a replacement battery for the Honda. RRP was £550, reduced as there's some standing stock and I got a mates rate so it was "only" £400.
