Re: Privatisation of the NHS
If you go online to complete your track and trace details it tells you your data is going to an American company.

Re: Privatisation of the NHS
I'd take that as a good thing. The U.S. has been doing private healthcare for a long time. It's far from perfect, and sometimes might involve a little bit more running around to get you to the right specialist, should you need one.
But it does work ...and ultimately keeps all that money in the private sector & out of government hands - and the government has a LOT of hands!!

Re: Privatisation of the NHS
Giving away our personal data to a foreign company for them to sell is a good thing?

Re: Privatisation of the NHS
If it's being used to pursue better health services then yes, I don't see why not.
I don't think they're intending to use it to target specific individuals negatively, are they?? I mean, this is healthcare we're talking about.

Re: Privatisation of the NHS
The government wanted to gift access to all patients personal notes to a US company not so long ago. It was part of the digitisation process and moving all the data to the cloud.Kwacky wrote:Giving away our personal data to a foreign company for them to sell is a good thing?
Fortunately capita where running the project and **** it up as usual.

Is the government running one huge embezzlement program? It certainly sounds like it.

With my umbrella company, one of the perks is a free virtual GP service. I think it's becoming a lot more common.duke63 wrote:You know how its very difficult to see your GP? Well look who was advertising on the radio today?

Since COVID is actual not that bad getting a phone appointment. I can't see the surgery wanting to go back to face to face.
