Rode in waterproofs ready for the crap weather later today.
Also caught up with someone going round corners with his front leg out supermoto style. But it was because he was petrified of the wet conditions I can only assume, as he was going walking pace round the corners. By the third corner I went round him on the outside so I could get on with my journey.

The amount of people I'd catch on a wet weekend rideout was staggering. I was typically running Supercorsas or Metzelers that had been on track. There's not problem in the wet you just need to use your body to get the most out of it.

Today I gave the bike a good full monty clean and lube..... and a polish and a second buffing off. She deserved it after a good 300 odd mile, mess about around Wales yesterday.
Good timing as it was raining this morning, when it stopped got the job done..... when almost finished the heavens opened again....

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Yesterday was a little blast out to the cafe at the REME Museum at Lyneham with three others, no more than six obviously lol....
Then on the way back popped into Rideworx for a catch up and coffee. There are some nice bikes for sale, lovely black and red S1000RR, very tasty, and a nice RSV4, and parked in the middle of the two a mint CBR 600 RR. Always something nice to drool over ha ha.
PS..... Made a big mistake on attire...... full leathers and a hoodie, I was bloody freezing, juts glad the sun was out for most of it, wont be doing that again in a hurry.... way too cold.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
bled the brakes , it's so much easier when the m/c has a bleed nipple , it's the first time I've ever had to do it since I put the Accossato master cylinder on and it makes me wonder why they don't all have one , took me less than 10 mins .

I hate this time of year. Wet roads covered in leaves and the changing light levels.

I’ve got two bikes and I don’t used either enough, especially since I’ve been doing so much iso and quarantining. I’ve had the GB 2 years and I’ve barely done 1000km on it. I’ve enjoyed the rides I’ve done and it ticked a bit of a bucket list item as it was I bike I loved as a youngster.duke63 wrote:Thruxton incoming?kiwikrasher wrote:Put the GB up for sale
Three reasons I put it up
1. In six months time I could very likely be on less than half of what I earn now as I’m very committed to getting out of offshore work. COVID related struggles with getting to work and back have broken me, I’ve literally had two meltdowns in the last month. One offshore and one in Quarantine. I don’t feel comfortable with where my mental health is going. So two bikes with the registration/insurance costs when I’m barely riding either one is not responsible when my income level is likely to take a big hit.
2. It’s slow. More than one person warned me that would become a problem but I wouldn’t hear it. I’ve had some really enjoyable rides on it but when I then get on the Multi I have a bigger grin by second gear.
3. If by chance, conditions change with getting to work and back before I’ve pulled the pin (employment opportunities are slim) and I decide to stay offshore, then there will be a vacant spot for a similar style bike with more punch aka Thruxton
I’ve only put it in a GB owners group on FB atm and it seems to have plenty of interest.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Spent a couple of hours killing bugs over the mountain and blowing the cobwebs out of myself and the Multi
Finishing off with a couple of ciders and a decent meal at my local
Definitely a good reset
