If I had the sort of money to afford a BMW M, I wouldn't buy a BMW M. The Italians have much better offerings for that sort of cash.

As ridiculous as it sounds that isn't silly money in todays market for what it is.

Its mental money for your average biker but the market is shifting to exclusive mega performance, high end machinery for the wealthy.

Just look at Honda a base model Blade is 20k these days.

Looks like it was painted by Jackson Pollock. It's almost cartoonish.
The shape of the bike itself seems decent enough, albeit in an upright sort of way.

That one is a show bike not a full on Superleggera. The headstock number is XXX. There was a thread on it on ducatiforum some time ago and i forget the full story.

It’s to address the wsb problems with top end speed and not being able to tune the Bosch ecu properly

They were Press/Demo bikes. There are a few around with XXX as the number on the headstock. Its why its approx £10k cheaper than a numbered bike.

If you are buying to use it, then that would be the one to go for.

I think all the work on the engine and swingarm are important but it's steep for a road bike IMO.

You can buy 2 of these or 1 brand new M4. You could have bought 3 S1000RRs for 1 M4 when they first came out and they were a revolution back then.

Tempting but I reckon i would be extremely nervous on a 35k sportsbike. You would be mega paranoid about dropping it

None of these advances and technology are important. What is important is a self cleaning and maintenance free bike.

If you cover a bike in olive oil, not only does it protect your bike from rust but it also allows rain and dirt to just fall off.
