Surgery went well.

I'm not in a lot of pain and I find it easier to walk without crutches. I think I'm the tiny minority of people who find the initial injury worse than the surgery. Even if this is short lived I'm counting my blessings.

Just make sure you rest up. I know you like to push yourself.

I love how they have to put a black felt tip arrow on all the time. They even had to do it with my finger

I joked with the surgeon and said it wouldn't matter if he did the wrong knee because that one is fecked as well. He laughed and said to come back next year.

I'm mighty impressed with the job my surgeon did!

I was warned by everyone who has had this surgery that the pain is overwhelming yet I'm not in much pain at all currently. I'm also able to walk without crutches. My leg can be perfectly straight when fully supported without any pain and doing my exercises I can get beyond 90° bend already.

I am very lucky at this point. If the pain comes later I will still count my blessings that I'm in relative comfort currently.

Frankie (and others with recent surgery experience), how long did it take to get past the general groggyness of general anaesthetic?

I'm incredibly happy with how I feel overall, its only the groggyness that's bringing me down at the minute. Is there anything that helps speed that up?

Sex and alcohol.

I would guess drinking lots of tea or coffee will help. Anything that makes you piss a lot.

I was over that quiet quick, other painful things took over and that was not on my radar to be honest.
Edit: When I say quick, by the following day I was clear of any groggyness..... I dont think my brain was actually working right ha ha ha, but it was clear confusion.

I would speak to your medical support, if you are not right do it now. They should have given you the post op NHS help number to call, call them. Just to be on the safe side.
