On the other hand, at least you have 5 full fingers.

Subtlety is not one of my strong points.

I think an early morning bicycle ride is in order today. It'll have to be early though, as it's supposed to get into the low 90s today....Sat & Sun are forecast for close to 110F, which is mental...and apparently will set new records. It's gonna suck.

I wore the off road gloves provided. Never again. I don’t see what they are for in all honesty.Blade wrote:Not good Duke, hope your OK.

Well, one of them is all you really need, I suppose.

Fingers the body can cope with but legs and arms can be fatal.

Working in heavy industry and aircraft maintenance, I've seen a few de-glovings, wedding rings and rotating equipment are the main culprits. Its why when i was married I never wore the ring at work.D41 wrote:duke63 wrote:Degloving is Stripping the skin and muscle from the bone.![]()

Re: What are you doing today ??
I had a fairly busy day off today, Early start to go and help mum with some gardening, chopping up branches from the apple tree for the recycling.
Then off to the gym for leg day and to pick up some gifts for dad's birthday, they were sold out earlier in the week.
Then took the bike for its first MOT at Doncaster Motorcycles, passed with flying colours despite the pulsing brake discs.
EBC VEE rotors, not recommended if you like your brakes smooth but the stopping power with EBC HH pads is great.
And then, took dad to the doctors for a blood test.
And then, took mum shopping.
And then, after being told that one caliper was dragging and probably had a sticky piston I stripped and cleaned both calipers with an old toothbrush and brake cleaner, rather than my usual red rubber grease I have tried silicone spray this time to see how that goes.
I also bled the front brakes and found a small amount of air in one caliper, the lever feel is now much better but I will wait for a good test ride on Sunday.
