Don't give up the track day. Jon has got a ticket and hired a bike and if there's one thing Jon can do it's talk 
I'm still doing 4 days a week so there's a spare day in the week. Or we can get out on Sunday if you like?

I've found a great road and place to eat on the a40 in the cotswolds called the smokehouse, we could ride out and meet there
