Doing nothing at all today. Weather forecast is for it to be "brutally hot" for the next few days.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Ported my number over to another provider. I get pretty much no mobile reception at my house on any service, so have finally gone to a service that has wifi calling.
Apparently NSW Health (monitoring my isolation) have been trying to call my mobile and not getting through. I rang them to get them to list my landline and they said to alter my case file they had to create a new one which would reset my isolation back to 14 days.
So at least when they try ringing on Monday I’ll be able to take the call now.

Mother in law passed away peacefully on Friday after her long and sometimes fraught illness. So many things we don't know about end of life until its forced on us like that.
Anyway today, i am taking the wife out for a few hours for breakfast and a drive round the countryside. She is in dire need of a break but sadly the next few weeks will be full of sorting things out.

Make sure you look after each other and yourself.
You know we're all here for both of you.
Sadly I know what it's like to look after someone who has lost a parent, it's far too easy to worry about them and forget about yourself. Take a break when you need. An hour out on the bike isn't being selfish, it's what you need. I burnt myself out making sure Sam and the kids were looked after after Sam lost her parents. I didn't deal with the grief until months later when I thought it was ok to finally let go.
Give me a shout if you want a coffee and an ear.

Thanks Kwacky. There have been a few moments in the last few weeks where I have felt like it’s all too much to cope with. Even worse in these covid times when Alison wanted to be with her mum and wasn’t allowed to be.

First proper club run since the lockdown started. A nice 12 mile country lane loop, very enjoyable. Back home for a bacon sarni to balance out the calorie deficit.

Today I have had a lovely day at Mallory Park , watching motorbikes eating bacon cobs and drinking tea , I took a few photo's as well but that was secondary to enjoying the day .

Working! Well we are experiencing problems at the moment so mainly been stripping down machines, cleaning, maintaining and replacing bits. Went above and beyond yesterday did a 13 hour shift...usually 12 then realised I lost my ID and had to retrace my steps got all the way back to my department and then heard 'Oi' with his hand in the air and my ID there, I smiled said he was a superstar and went on my merry way!

Been driving the company Tesla again, this time through some twisties. It's a peculiar car - definitely not a driver's car.

Enjoying the delights of the British coastline.
The moonrise was beautiful, I really wish I had a decent camera.
