I think it was mate, yes..... puts a bad taint on a track day to be honest. As I have said before, been lucky being able to do euro trips and open pit trips. That ticks my box for the yearly track dayskingfixer wrote:Was that the day me and the lad in our garage on his Panigale were punted into slow group cos they got the transponder numbers mixed up

Re: Possible UK Trackdays
Ours was a little chipped sticker. It stayed on there and just gave the serial number each track day.Monty wrote:I booked a day like that with Focused Events, think they called it Chrono day or something. Sadly when we got there they wanted another 50 quid for the transducer rental and most of us including me told them to **** off.
It was non-negotiable here. Condition of entry for track day.

My screen was in one piece still, that crash at least.Kwacky wrote:Was yours still attached to a bit of the screen when you handed it back?
You didn’t hand them back. Stayed on your screen and was used for future track days.

Re: Possible UK Trackdays
Its not the bike its the rider that makes the difference
I reckon MM93 would be quicker than the fast group on a cx500

Re: Possible UK Trackdays
I am available if they are allowing spectators/guests, I won't be able to go trackside but at Mallory I don't need to

Re: Possible UK Trackdays
Or hire a bike..... Much as taking the XR on the track would be a bloody good laugh, if I bin it it's a lot of money down the drain and probably the end of my biking as it's on PCP.....D6Nutz wrote:Hummmm. Tempting.. XR on trackPerkles wrote:anybody up for it ,tankslap meeting ?

Smallboy do a 650F for £199 (http://smallboytrackbikes.co.uk/tbCBR650FEJC.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) from experience of Mallory it's not about big BHP it's about good riding, so the 650 would be bang on (the rider not so much).. I guess this post is more about me talking myself into spending 200 sheets so I can really enjoy the day... and then talking myself into the fact that I've done basically sweet FA biking this year and this is likely to be my only biking event of the year.
Any other suggestions for hire companies ????
