1st Service done and I seem to have another bike returned
As the title says, first service done, the chip plug thing is now plugged in, and hey presto I have been given back another bike.... using text speak OMG!!!
I thought this bike was nuts while keeping the revs down while running in, but now it has unleashed the dynamic Pro mode it is mental I think it is using all its horses at every opportunity I am enjoying this bike so much

Re: 1st Service done and I seem to have another bike returne
This has 160bhp as opposed to the RR which was 190... but there seems to be a great deal more torque across the spectrum of power, that in conjunction with the flat bars gives me a much more urgent feel about it all, possible because I am more upright with the bars and getting the full impact of a bike pulling away, if that makes sense.
What I was referring to was that after the service I now had the chip fitted, which allowed for Dynamic Pro mode to be activated, up until now that was not accessible on the selection screen. The difference in feel to dynamic mode is amazing, could also be partly because I am now opening her up above 7K.
As a little side issue on service, I noticed under the paint that the rear wheel (one of the spokes as it were) was not cast correctly, very small, the size of the tip of a bic pen lid, I put a cable tie around it to remind me to mention it during the service. They flagged it to BMW and they changed the wheel, no question

No its going to BMW for inspection... as far as I am aware... Or someones track bike lol... I dont want it, If it is a casting fault I dont fancy that letting go at 150mph, sorry I mean 70 mph...
Ps. the reaction was swift, which makes me think they were concerned.

Glad your enjoying it and got good customer service which is rare these days.
Slightly off subject had the car in BMW today for some warranty work. They have damaged a panel and although they will replace it the service manager told me to get over it, it was only a scratch (its not it's tool marks from plier jaws or similar) and get over it.

I have heard some very indifferent stuff about BMW car dealers in the last couple of years.
You need an Audi, Blade.

Re: 1st Service done and I seem to have another bike returne
They really annoyed both me and my wife yesterday, the service manager virtually accused us of lying and damaging the car ourselves even though its a tool make where they have removed a cover, he alleged my 3 year olds shoe could have damaged it which is rubbish as its plier marks in stainless steel trim. He then said he never said shoes could do the damage he said it was shoes or something else, which bizarely is still saying it could have been shoes. His whole demanour was arrogant and aggressive and he claimed stuff gets damaged at all dealerships. I replied it didn't as in 20 years of owning 6 or 7 Volkswagen's from 3 different local dealerships we never once had a problem but BMW have damaged our car on everyone of the 4 occasions they have had it. As the manager in charge of the service department I asked him why his QA/QC was none existent as they had damaged the car multiple times. His reply was I probably look at it closer than them which I pointed out should be the opposite and they should inspect their work before returning it to the customer. As a prestigious brand I should be able to trust that they are professional and respectful of my vehicle when it is in there possession. The whole time he was very argumentative even though both me and my wife were not. He stormed off in a tantrum which was not only unprofessional and embarassing it was stupid as we still had the courtesy car keys. But the thing that really annoyed me was when I returned the keys he rudely shouted its only a mark, stuff happens just get over it which even shocked his colleagues who were in ear shot. I asked to speak with the dealer principal to make a complaint but unfortunately he wasn't in yesterday so I discussed it with his secretary and he will call me to discuss it with me on Monday.

Tbh it was probably because coming off night shift I was tied and subdued but I'm glad I did keep my cool as it just made him look worse as at no point did me or my wife let ourselves down and lower ourselves to his level.Bratty wrote:I don't know how you kept your cool mate he was obviously a right twonk
