Second hand bike prices

Post by Kwacky »

They seem to have shot up in the nearly new market.

I can't seem to shift the versys, I guess the high mileage is putting them off.

But there's only one used F3 800 for sale on a couple of sites and that's going for more than I paid for mine.

Adventure Sports with lower spec than mine are going for £10k

There's very few deals going on new bikes either.

Looks like people are bored and spending money.

Supply and demand at its most blatant.

If you want to order a new Ducati, then many dealers are asking for a sizeable deposit as they are built pretty much to factory order.

Audi have been doing this for a few years now and once you make a firm order, they will tell you the build week of your vehicle.

Audi must be following Porsche then. I guess VW may follow suit too in coming years.

Most likely as ultimately all the same company.

It's not a new idea. British Leyland were doing it in the 70s.

I've noticed nearly new vehicle prices are strong also.

I couldn't buy my car for what I bought it for in Nov19 nor could I buy the s3 for much if any less than I paid Aug19.

Not used it myself, but you tried Gumtree for the Versy Kwacky? Or may Facebook Market place. Again not used it myself, but from conversation these places seem to move items quickly if priced well.

Did they have to give the customers the deposits though, just to shift the corroding stock (giggle)
