18 months later its finished. Its taken me some years to fully appreciate these for what they are. When they were released MotoGp had already moved on to 800cc bikes.
If I wanted just one special bike in your garage, this would be it.

Agreed.. a very special bike. And to think they are still comparable to the latest crop of superbikes in terms of outright circuit performance!

Re: Desmo rebuild complete - Bike World
Its more than that, imho.
I get the impression that Ferrari pamper to the oil sheikhs and wealthy yanks rather than real car buffs these days. I may be wrong as I have never driven one but they dont light my fire anymore. That said not many modern cars do.
If I was going to buy an expensive new car these days it would be an Alfa Guila Quadrofoglio. That I have driven.

Ferrari haven't lit my fire since my childhood. Id much rather a Porsche, Lamborghini or Mclaren these days

Re: Desmo rebuild complete - Bike World
Apparently Ferrari sells roughly the same amount of cars in the US as it does in the top 5 European countries.... I'm guessing that from a population perspective that puts them in roughly the same ballpark..??
It seems the problem they're having in Europe is the regulations are changing faster than they can change the designs of upcoming cars to comply.
