Then I looked it up, and there's about 150,000 people living on an island the size of a tennis court, in the middle of the Indian Ocean, about 4 inches above sea level. I think not.
Worried they might choose to drown you?

Two lads I went to school with have both lost a parent this weekend. One hit hard as I've known him since I was 4. I was always round at their house. I saw his parents a couple of years ago and they hadn't changed.

My other mate sadly passed away a couple of years back. His mum died on Friday.

Really sorry to hear this Kwacky. Sadly I think many of us will or are about to share the same news over the coming weeks. These are very strange and testing times.

Just watched the news and goverment press breifing ,I am usually positive but they are not very confidence inspiring are they
I watched an interview this morning with Piers Morgan who makes my skin crawl but had to admit I agreed with his views on how the government have handled this
All its going to take is a spell of warm weather and the riots will start

One would hope this might signal the end of obscene wealth. We can but live in hope.

A very clear example of how isolation/lockdown is effective.

Jacinda put NZ into full lockdown very early and for a month from the get go. She got hammered by the opposition for doing so due to economic stressing the country.

I read on Reddit earlier that Denmark and Poland have refused financial aid to "Tax Haven" companies, so they are giving back what they received from those companies, F-All.

Wonder if the UK will do the same (bandit)

You would hope there is a concerted effort by all nations to make sure tax havens no longer exist after this.

No one knows how much money and wealth is stashed away in these places and someone has to pay for all this.

Germany is very interesting at the moment. The right wing is taking a battering after criticism of Merkle. A lot of Germans have rallied to her support.

Merkle is being led by the scientists. She laid out a short and long term plan and explained the reasons for it. They did widescale testing which helped limit the spread and kept the deaths relatively low. Germany is starting to relax some of the restrictions but Merkle has warned that Germany will shut down again if there's a rise in new cases.

Basically she's put herself at the forefront and kept her country informed.
