Its why i am always so envious of where Cookie is. The roads by him are like this ALL the time.

I echo you on that one, Duke. The roads are so quiet, I can go anyway I like home and not really face traffic. I've got 2 nice options on the way in and 1 on the way home. I might go the nice way today and film it. I'll post it if it's any good.
Downside of working closer to home - it only allows about 12 minutes of driving time.

It was a bit too quiet on my run yesterday. Even out in a village there is a background hum, it was totally silent yesterday. Very unnerving.duke63 wrote:Its why i am always so envious of where Cookie is. The roads by him are like this ALL the time.

My place is sandwiched between two schools & across the block from a big college. There is NOTHING going on at the minute.

I'm used to the quiet now, the UK is so busy now to me when I come back.D6Nutz wrote:It was a bit too quiet on my run yesterday. Re: Coronavirus - hype or pandemlc?
I'm on Furlough for 3 weeks then, possibly, back to work for 3 weeks then back on furlough again. It depends how the virus is progressing in the area because I am in the high risk group, and a high risk profession meeting the public all the time.
Netflix and Youtube are keeping me sane enough but when I went to the shop yesterday I got pulled over and asked where I was going, I was on my way home with a couple of bags of shopping in the boot so there was no problem.

Re: Coronavirus - hype or pandemlc?
I've got a letter and haven't been pulled over yet. I'm looking forward to holding my letter to the window and not winding the window down for them (it's the only way they can get close enough to read the letter and I'm not letting anyone touch it. Also looking forward to telling them off for touching my car and asking them to clean it to prevent unnecessary potential transfer of a deadly virus to a key worker.

Standard practice here for a cop to touch each & every car they pull over.

I've not got a letter yet, but have been told it's not a problem if I need one.
Would love to see a cop wiping down a with an anti-bac wipe... They must have been told to minimise unnecessary contract though?

Re: Coronavirus - hype or pandemlc?
I found this useful. In France the monitoring and stats from hospitals is very transparent. It shows that it is very regional here. They are putting patients on trains to other areas of France - it is very much Paris and the East that have it here.
In my department (think like West Midlands, Cornwall size etc) there have been 17 hospital admissions with Covid for instance.
This map shows capacity of ITU's - many areas have spare at the moment, so again they can be used by other regions.
