Pin lock visors
I have just bought a shoei nxr its beautiful and more importantly a perfect fit but can sombody explain pin lock visors what they do and can you get tinted ones

They're like double glazing. They prevent misting.
Yes, you can get tinted both light and dark and reactive.

Reactive are fecking expensive.
Personally I've got clear, light and dark tint visors with a clear pinlock in each. Just makes it easier to change between visors to suit the conditions.
If you can, get someone from a helmet shop to fit them as well. They do s much better job of seating them.
And what ever you do don't clean them with visor cleaner spray. They really don't like it. (Expensive lesson learned)

As above the pinlock layer creates a double glazing effect to prevent misting. For this reason I have a pinlock on my clear visor and don't bother on the dark visor as that only comes out when it's sunny so less likely to mist up in the first place. I had an nxr- great helmet.

You can get a photo-chromatic visor for the NXR, bit of an eye watering price though, I have a photo-chromatic pinloc and they do work really well.
