There's been some leaks regarding the next films.

I guess we'll know more in a couple of months when filming starts.

Re: Star Wars fans
I do hope they do it well, like JJ Abrahams did with Star Trek, which I think he did better than the originals IMO.
If they don't, it will destroy the brand IMO, but then maybe these films are designed for people 30 years younger....

Re: Star Wars fans
I reckon they'll be looking to target a brand new set of fans. There are going to be spin off films as well as the final trilogy. Let's be honest, we all fell in love with Star Wars when we were kids, so as much as I would love the new films to be for our generation I have no objection to them looking for a new audience so long as the films give a respectful nod in our direction.

Re: Star Wars fans
You are joking. Abrams destroyed the Star Trek franchise. The first film was a pedestrian retelling of the Wrath of Khan and the second was an absolute rip of of the Wrath of Khan, both films showed an absolute lack of any imagination.C00kiemonster wrote:I do hope they do it well, like JJ Abrahams did with Star Trek, which I think he did better than the originals IMO.

Don't even get me started on why I hated the second film.

Re: Star Wars fans
I think the 2 new star trek films are the best ones ever done to be honest. Even my missus likes them.
I always thought Star Trek films were that great to be honest. (saving humpback wales???Q??Q?Q?Q)
I lvoe the new direction of star trek films and hope they continue.
The recent 1-3 episodes of Star Wars however were poor.

Re: Star Wars fans
Star Wars people are getting very boring. Don't get me wrong as a kid I knew every word to Star Wars , there is an AtAt still in my dads cellar , but it's time to let go. The 3 new films were beyond w#nk. The new new ones will be too.

It's weird how people opinions are so different. I guess you can't please everyone with something so big like Star Trek/Star Wars. Me and all my friends much prefer the newer Star Treks films over all the old ones.
