Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Another horrible autumn morning. Cold and wet and dark. Part of my route to the motorway is shut off for road works. There was another road closed due to an accident with a cyclist.
I should have stayed in bed.

Clear blue skies, dry roads, not working, what ride could I do. Took it out for a few hours and spanked it.
Once you put it into dynamic Pro you realise quite how much the anti-wheelie does in dynamic..

Put the new radiator next to it
I plan to get that in within the next couple of months but first I want to strip the old one off and give the bike a deep clean

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Stuck on my StompGrips - why are they so difficult to get symmetrical on both sides (in short I didn't and can't unseen it) also added my heated gloves to the battery and also checked all my fluids and made sure it still started and indicators and lights all worked!

StompGrip are a B-ASS-TARD to fit!! Did you get clear ones? I have so many bubbles in mine that appeared hours after a bubble-free installation!

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Haha they really are. I bought black ones for this bike but I had clear a couple of times. I've bought knee Grips a few times over the past trying different ones and StompGrips were certainly the best I've tried IMOCav wrote:StompGrip are a B-ASS-TARD to fit!! Did you get clear ones? I checked for air bubble and couldn't see any and I pressed firmly across the whole area. However the proof will be in the pudding, I'll have to check it in a couple of days to see if there was any that formed afterwards!
Fingers crossed there isn't.
Mainly pissed off that they are symmetrical on the tank

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I took about 2 hours applying the first one and then an hour realising I wasn't going to make it symmetrical. Also, the tank on my bike has NO edges which line up well with the StompGrip!! Was a flipping nightmare !!!

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I had a hair dryer on mine for probably 5 minutes to warm it up before applying but by the time I fitted it, the adhesive was stone cold again. Probably that which didn't help things.
It was just a nightmare, if 2 lines were to line up I could have made it symmetrical quite easily but nothing did. Didn't help that the left and right stomp grips were different when you held them back to back as well

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
That's interesting they were different. They are a big company and dont make many mistakes. I had stomp Grips on my ZX6R and they were fantastic IMO. As for heating them I heated them for approx 5-10 mins each but whilst I was peeling them and sticking them I also kept the hair drier on it too keep the heat in them. It was a cold day yesterday too. I need to check how well they are holding but yesterday they were fine

Got it bloody filthy, so glad I spent the hours at the weekend making it gleam. I wouldn't mind but I only went 9 miles! Bloody rain and tractors leaving mud everywhere.

Do you classify as a hardcore all year biker if you buy a gazebo just so you can wash your bike when the weather's crap

That's dedication.
But then doesn't the wash-job get trashed when you try to move it back inside the garage...??

Looks like a blow up tardis
Dirt just builds up if you don't wash it. Not a good thing for any vehicle.

Three plan is to put the cover back on the bike and then move the gazebo.

Erm, so that plan didn't happen. It's still raining and dark so the gazebo is staying up over night.D6Nutz wrote:I don't have a garage!D41 wrote:That's dedication.![]()
