Trail riding - International Dirt Bike Show 28 September
I would really like to have a go at trail riding at some point soon. To which the International Dirt Bike show has been moved to Stafford this year so will probably be going on the Saturday 28 September.
I understand that the TRF (Trail Riding fellowship) will have a stand there so looks like a good place to start and to ask some questions.
I know there is a decent trail riding school on the Shrops/Wales border so i will be having a look at that too.
Anyone else interested?

I can't make the show, it's my nephew's birthday that day.
I am up for more off-road riding though.

Yes mate, with either company. £200 looks decent value as well.
These look good for me on the ATAS https://trailridinguk.com/adventure-bik ... ail-tours/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Going to the show tomorrow. I'll see who is about there first before i contact one of the schools. Its not been the easiest of weeks.
The TRF have a stand there so its a good place to start. See how many trails there are locally.
But doing something like this has appeal to me these days.

The Scrambler is very cool....it manages to pull off "retro" without being "poseur retro".

That Scrambler does look good and would be my pic off-road of the two. I’ve done a couple of off-road tracks on the Multi and she’s too big a lump IMO. But I’m used to off-roading on 2-stroke screamers and 4-stroke singles.
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Re: Trail riding - International Dirt Bike Show 28 September
It was mainly a motocross based show.
Some really nice bikes there. Very little in terms of trail riding though.

One bike i did like was the Yamaha Tenere 700 which was on the Yamaha stand. Its a lot of bike for the money and is apparently genuinely off road (trails) capable.

A very good mate of mine does tours for free (If you buy him some petrol) in Wales if you fancy it. Check out Iron House Tours on Facebook. He's spent the last few years scouting out lanes and fire tracks in South Wales.
