From talking to JHP, lubing the thread can make it worse as it tightens beyond the recommended torque as a result.
There isn't a correct answer though as a dry thread can cause other issues.
I was advised to put minimal grease on the thread and to make sure you loosen it off at least once a year.

There is a correct answer Duke. Just use the torque and lubricant specified in the manual ONLY.
Bolt torque specified, in the manual will only be accurate if you use the manufacturer specified thread lubricant.
Not many people realise, but due to such a wide variance in the coefficient of friction between different thread lubricants, some lubes will require double the torque to achieve the same bolt tension value, and that will be where the confusion is coming in. Go dry and that error could be even more dramatic.
Key fact is always use the manufacturer specified lubricant (not an equivalent) and the manufacturer specified torque values.
Dont worry about how much you put on. Any excess will be displaced and you can just wipe it off.

With the lubricants we use you typically need 4x less torque with lube. Just a ball park figure but it can vary between 3-6x. 4x is the safe bet

We use a bolt tensioning slide chart.
You select the bolt size, material and thread lubricant you will be using and what bolt tension you require. The chart will then tell you the exact torque required to achieved that bolt tension accurately. No guessing, no estimates just reliable accurate settings every time.
If I was torquring something with multiple bolts I would normally torque in a specific sequence to one third of the final torque, before repeating the sequence at two thirds final torque value and then follow the sequence again to get to final torque, before finally chasing in a clock face at final torque setting one more time.

What do you do for a living?
FYI, where I'm saying 4x is a safe bet, that's just for initial schemes, drawings and designs.. the proper figure always gets calculated later down the line

Got a new rear for the MV. it's made a lot of difference. Gave it a quick wipe and polish when I got back as its been raining.
God I love the noise from this thing over 8k revs.
I've backed the suspension off a little bit on the front, it's a bit harsh.

I've only had a new rear. They're the OEM tyre so I needed one to match the front. They're good enough for me and the MV.

£135 fitted. That sealed it for me. I don't use the MV much and I'm not very quick on it. Plus I only use it on dry days so I don't have to worry too much about what's on there. I'll take a more in depth review of tyres when the front needs replacing as I'll get both done then.

Similar here pal. Stick supercorsa on the SP and the PANI as only use fair weather.
Got some s21 for the s3 but at £160 for the pair there a good buy and will go on in spring 2020.

Booked the bike in for an MOT this Saturday. I need to make sure it's ready to go and that it fires up. Fingers crossed.
