Paint Chip / Triumph Colour Codes
Doris has been struck by a stone on her nose cone. I've tried various amounts of paint shops and Ive even been to a company called BiTec in Telford who use a housed colour scanner but because the nose cone isnt flat, they couldnt get a true image.
Dream Machine in Nottingham has been mentioned and I'll try them tomorrow as Im over that way
Im trying to find the paint/colour code for the Red part of Union Jack of a Daytona 650 ??
I'll try Triumph direct tomorrow ... but does anyone else have any suggestions ??

Re: Paint Chip / Triumph Colour Codes
It's a sticker isn't it? Not paint so it won't have a code I wouldn't have thought. Is it a big chip?

Re: Paint Chip / Triumph Colour Codes
ok ... Ive been to Dream Machine today. The main red piece is painted and then the decals are applied after that.
They refused to give me the paint code
How ever, the were willing to do the job for me. They wouldnt touch the yellow but would fill the chips, colour and lacquer ... all for £100 +vat

Re: Paint Chip / Triumph Colour Codes
I have heard indifferent reports of Dream Machines work and attitude.
Try these Spudda. They do a lot of work for Staffordshire Triumph.

I have also heard good things about them from my uncle who runs the workshop for a Harley & BMW dealer. They do all their work and a lot of custom stuff for the leather tasseled brigade

That's bad business sense to make a quick buck. They probably don't need a 100 quid job, wouldn't make much on it anyway and possibly put you off using them in the future.Spudda wrote:ok ... Ive been to Dream Machine today. The main red piece is painted and then the decals are applied after that.

Plus you've come on here and probably put a few people off too.

I've just had a flash of inspirationSpudda wrote: They refused to give me the paint code![]()

They told me at Dream Machine that the main red bit in the centre of the nose cone was painted and then the rest were decals that were laid on top and lacquered
So if the nose cone came off one of the slower red Daytona's then surely they wouldnt have painted that section but would have used the same red as the rest of the bike

I found this picture and it seems to be the case ... anyoine on here got a red Daytona with the UJ Nose ??

Re: Paint Chip / Triumph Colour Codes
Can't you go some where like bike paints or rs paints and ask for a touch pen for triumph Daytona red. 99.9% chance it will be correct if not only list a few quid.

Re: Paint Chip / Triumph Colour Codes
I've been told by a guy in the paint game that when Dream Machine do a custom paint job they mix their paints and dot keep a record of what the mix is. SO they cant even patch up their own jobs properly.
