And now for something completely different - Duke's 765ST RS
The Multi was brilliant but a very serious motorcycle. For 75% of the time is was more than I really needed. Loved every moment but after 6 years of Multistrada it was time for a change.
This Street Triple RS is also brilliant but hopefully a little less serious. The engine is beautiful. Fast, free revving, light and agile. It will be great for 75% of the time. Watching Cookie tour on his, convinced me it will do that too, at least the tours I do.

Interestingly when I did the deal two weeks ago they had 5 STs on the floor. They have now all gone. Apparently due to the free Arrow can Deal.

Well first 100 miles done.
First impressions-
The brakes are stonking. Coming round a bend with a herd of cattle crossing the road, I pulled up comfortably, the car in front nearly didn't. Brembo M50s probably a bot overkill on such a light bike but who cares.
It's agile. Very agile. So easy round the bends.
The gearbox is one of the smoothest I have encountered. Like a Suzuki. Keep forgetting it has a quickshifter but barely needs it.
The engine - I had forgotten just how tractable triples are. It pulls smoothly in top from 4000rpm. The fact they suggest keeping below 5k for the first 500 miles is almost like purgatory.
I think it looks great in white.
Bad points - it's hurting my knees a bit at the end of a couple of hours. But I knew it wouldn't be as comfortable on the body as the Multi.
The suspension can be harsh on some roads. Its at its worst on successive ripples but other times it's fine. I've not touched any adjusters yet and again I knew it wouldn't be as good as the Multi. It's actually better than I thought it would be as one seem to suggest it's overly harsh.

Duke sure it will become more and more comfortable with more time in the saddle. But a couple of hours is pretty decent. Sounds like a brilliant decision. Defo different compared to the multi but that's what you wanted otherwise you would never of gone for this

If I were you I would break out the manual with the suspension settings and check you are in the road settings

What a great circuit too 
I reckon around somewhere like Cadwell Park or Pembrey your bike could be quicker than mine
but yours is a thousand times better on the road

They eat 600 sports bikes on trackdays , better corner entry and more grunt on the way out . I have seen it keep up with litre bikes in the fast group but rider ability will have had a bit to play in that .Cav wrote:
