Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Today went out for a gentle bimble with my dad. Approx 65 miles all in. Was a nice little ride out to be honest. Then went to Blackbushe Cafe for a drink and food, got home then washed my bike. It was filthy from the tour so it really needed it. Also sprayed a coat of Muc Off M/C protectant on it. I do need to strip the brakes and give that a good clean as sure now it will have a lot of brake dust inside it which really needed to come out, so may do this tomorrow

Not the bike, but bike equipment...
Got back off yesterday's ride and noticed my jacket was riddled with the corpses of all the bugs I'd killed this year (and last), so decided to clean it off and give it a little leather food.
A little side by side comparison...

I moved it over the weekend and the brake MC has leaked and the fluid has ruined the paint. this side is up against the wall so I didn't notice![]()

I wasn't very happy with them in the first place so ive decided once the new MC is fitted and ive got some spare Wonga im going to get a set in carbon fibre and have them painted professionally. I like the idea of leaving some of the CF on show in the paint scheme.
Shit that really sucks balls.

It looked worse in person, should've taken it in better lighting tbh.
My textile jacket is horrendous. And staying that way.

Played doge the dickhead. The bright sun meant that a few car drivers this morning were really struggling to see their phones as they were driving along

Polished it today after its wash yesterday. Then cleaned up the front brakes as it's done more than 3k miles since the last time they were cleaned and it showed!! It's been nice to spend a bit of time out in the sun working on the bike. It is looking great. Now I want a proper ride on it again

many a dickhead on the road for us this morning too. The person driving the lift share this week isn't exactly a great driver either thoughKwacky wrote:Played doge the dickhead. Took the 999 in for its MOT, passed with no adivisories, also had @ new Brembo MC fitted. Just taxed it so we’re all legal to ride...woohoo, then it decides to rain for the first time in weeks so the first ride on the 999 for a very long time will have to wait.

Popped up to Northampton to pick up a top box for the beema. An essential bit of kit for me.
Top seller, came over turn to meet me, rather than me having to navigate all through town. Brought all the tools we needed to fit the box, and helped me fit it. Ride home much better without the backpack on.

Today's internet purchase, They say that they work well with Brembo discs so the stopping power with M50 calipers on 320mm Gold series discs should be a slightKwacky wrote:Bendix mrr for the win

I really can't fault the DP Sport pads, but new discs require new pads in my head so, the wallet has had a beasting.

Let me know what you think.
I reckon the MV could benefit with new pads. I was getting a bit of fade on Sunday

Will have to get my ass down to a meet so that you can sample the KTM for yourself, it will have had it's full service and upgrades by then up at Teasdales in Thirsk.

Put it in rain mode, flicked the cruise control on, and hit behind the screen.
Very quiet this morning, but pretty wet.
